Kimberly Blair

Kimberly Blair is a grief counselor, clinical hypnotherapist, and holistic wellness practitioner who supports individuals navigating loss, life transitions, and the deeply human experiences that accompany change. Her work is rooted in the belief that grief is not something to overcome, but rather something to be witnessed, honored, and integrated.

Through her practice, The Guides Holistic Therapies, Kimberly offers a compassionate, whole person approach to grief support that recognizes the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions of loss. She works with individuals experiencing bereavement, anticipatory grief, companion animal loss, caregiver fatigue, identity shifts, and significant life transitions.

What distinguishes Kimberly’s approach is her integration of both evidence based and holisticmodalities. With a background in psychology, and drawing from the Grief Recovery Method, Clinical Hypnotherapy, Conscious Connected Breathwork, Reiki, Sound Therapy and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), she creates personalized experiences that support healing beyond traditional talk based approaches. Her work acknowledges that grief is often carried not only in the heart and mind, but also within the body, nervous system, and subconscious.

Whether supporting someone preparing for an anticipated goodbye, processing a recent loss, or navigating a major life transition, Kimberly’s approach is grounded, heart centered, and deeply respectful of each person’s unique path. She believes that while grief changes us, it can also become a doorway to meaning, connection, and self understanding.

Based in San Diego, California, Kimberly works with clients in person at her La Jolla and Pacific Beach locations and also virtually.

Holistic Grief Integration

  • Grief Counseling with Kimberly Blair The Death Network

    Grief Counseling

    Many people receive support after a loss but are rarely taught practical tools for navigating grief itself. Kimberly's approach is informed by The Grief Recovery Method, providing a structured and compassionate framework for addressing unresolved grief connected to loss. This is the method that she personally explored after her mother's death;

an evidence based approach that helps grievers identify what feels incomplete, express emotions that may have been suppressed, and move forward without leaving behind the people, animals, or experiences that mattered most. You will be guided through and find emotional completion around questions surrounding unresolved grief: what could I have done differently better or more, and the unmet hopes, dreams and expectations that I had with the person, place, job, career, home, pet, etc

The goal is not to forget or "move on," but rather to develop a healthier relationship with loss and create space for a path forward.

  • The Death Network Kimberly Blair Clinical Hypnotherapy

    Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy offers a gentle yet powerful way to access the subconscious mind, where memories, emotions, beliefs, and unresolved experiences are often held. Within the context of grief and loss, hypnotherapy can help individuals process emotions that feel difficult to access through conversation alone.

A unique aspect of Kimberly's work is the exploration of what she describes as the "Golden Bridge": the enduring connection between ourselves and those we love. Through guided hypnotic experiences, clients may revisit meaningful memories, deepen continuing bonds, find resolution around unfinished conversations, and reconnect with the love that remains after loss. This work can be particularly meaningful for those navigating grief, end of life transitions, or the loss of a family member.

  • Breathwork with Kimberly Blair The Death Network

    Transformational Breathwork

Conscious Connected Breathwork offers a direct pathway into the body, where grief, stress, and emotional experiences are often stored. In traditional Chinese medicine, this would be the lungs. Through intentional breathing practices, individuals are invited to move beyond the thinking mind and connect with deeper layers of awareness.

For those experiencing grief, breathwork can help release emotional tension, regulate the nervous system, increase self awareness, and create a sense of connection during times that may otherwise feel isolating. For some, it can be a place to process anger. Sessions are designed to meet each person where they are, allowing emotions to emerge and move in a safe and supported environment.

  • Reiki and Energy Therapy Kimberly Blair The Death Network

    Reiki & Energy Therapy

Grief is often experienced not only emotionally, but physically, mentally, and spiritually. Reiki offers a gentle approach that supports relaxation, nervous system regulation, and a greater sense of balance during times of loss and transition.

Many individuals navigating grief describe feeling exhausted, disconnected, anxious, or overwhelmed. Reiki creates a space where the body can soften, the mind can quiet, and moments of peace become more accessible. While grief cannot be rushed or removed, Reiki can provide comfort, grounding, and support as individuals move through their own unique healing process.

In Kimberly's closing ceremony of the six session grief counseling program, reiki can be utilized in interesting ways.

  • Kimberly Blair Pet Loss Grief Counseling The Death Network

    Pet Loss Grief Counseling

The loss of a companion animal can be one of life's most profound and often misunderstood grief experiences. The bond shared with an animal companion is unique, deeply personal, and worthy of recognition.

Kimberly specializes in the unique nuance of supporting pet parents through anticipatory grief, quality of life considerations, euthanasia decisions, and the emotional landscape that follows a loss. Her approach honors both the heartbreak of saying goodbye and the enduring relationship that continues through memory, meaning, and love. By combining grief support with holistic modalities, clients are offered multiple pathways to process loss and find comfort during a difficult time.

  • The Pet Grief Relief Ap Kimberly Blair The Death Network

    The Pet Grief Relief Ap

The death of a beloved animal companion often leaves pet parents searching for ways to remain connected to a relationship that profoundly shaped their lives. Kimberly's work extends beyond grief support alone and includes resources designed to help pet parents honor, remember, and celebrate the enduring bond they share with their animals.

Through her Pet Grief Relief™ platform, a digital grief companion, pet parents have access to guided practices that support remembrance, continuing bonds, emotional processing, and meaningful ritual. These resources provide compassionate support before and after a loss, helping pet parents navigate grief while creating space to honor the love, lessons, and legacy their companion leaves behind. Digital grief affirmation decks, journaling prompts, guided meditations, breathwork and online memorial.

  • Sound Therapy & Sound Bath Experiences Kimberly Blair The Death Network

Sound Therapy & Sound Bath Experiences

Sound has been used across cultures and traditions for centuries as a tool for reflection, ceremony, restoration, and connection. During times of grief, loss, and transition, sound can offer a supportive experience when words feel insufficient or emotions feel difficult to access.

Kimberly incorporates sound therapy as a gentle, immersive practice that encourages deep relaxation and nervous system regulation. Using instruments such as crystal singing bowls and other therapeutic frequencies, sessions create an environment that supports stillness, presence, and emotional processing.

Whether experienced individually or in community, sound offers a meaningful way to create space for reflection, connection, and the many emotions that accompany loss.

  • Group Sound Bath Sessions Kimberly Blair The Death Network

    Group Sound Bath Experiences

Sometimes the most meaningful moments of connection happen without conversation. A group sound bath offers an opportunity to step away from the noise of everyday life and into a shared experience of stillness, presence, and restoration. Whether gathering with friends, family, caregivers, or a community group, these immersive sessions create space to simply be together.

Led by Kimberly, each sound bath uses crystal singing bowls and other therapeutic instruments to create soothing vibrations that encourage deep relaxation, nervous system regulation, and gentle emotional release. As the sounds wash over the room, participants are invited to rest, reflect, and reconnect with themselves and with one another.

Especially during seasons of grief, caregiving, uncertainty, or life transition, a group sound bath can offer a welcome pause when words feel inadequate. It is a meaningful way to cultivate presence, honor shared experiences, and experience the restorative power of sound in community.
